More Cole Camp Door Sightings/Thursday Doors

Headed back to Cole Camp, Missouri for Thursday Doors this week. I still had some photos in my stash and hope you enjoy my experiments with filters in my choices.

colecampslatefilter

Beginning with a slate filter. I personally like how it accents the missing panes of glass.

colecampzeke

Why this filter is called Zeke I don’t know but it sure gives a feeling of yesteryear. I’d love a front door that wide along with those double screen doors! Can you imagine how many times the momma yelled to stop slamming those over the years??

colecampnapa

Don’t step out this door without your ladder! The filter is called Napa and it brings out the peeling paint on that door’s window.

And yes, the propane line runs smack dab through that door. I had to get a close up just for myself.

Guilty.

colecampicarus

The glow of those lights is the appeal for me to choose this version called Icarus. Remember Icarus flew too close to the sun and melted his wings? There was no threat of melting on this particular day I assure you with geese heading south along with the cold north winds.

Christbaumfest/Thursday Doors

Norm, the host of Thursday Doors, says I have til Saturday morning to post my entry in his weekly challenge. I’m thankful for that generosity this week. Lots to do this time of year.

Our pile of hand made items. We are in the homestretch of the craft show season once we finish this show. Only one more left to go…..

Sharing with you some of the charm of Historic Downtown Cole Camp in the next few pics.

Colecamp was first settled in the 1830’s and is along what is known as the Butterfield Trail. The Butterfield Trail was a stage line that operated between 1858 – 1861.

Some delicious sweets inside those doors.

Some clothing perhaps?

Entrepreneurs take notice.

These are gorgeous doors but I hope the person who decides to start their business here gets rid of that air conditioner. Not cool. (Pardon the pun)
