Special Stitches/SundaySampler

The Sunday Sampler Badge

A few weeks back I mentioned sharing some handmade cards I create for my penpals & special occasions. Consider this more of a tutorial than something you’ll find in my Etsy shop. I just don’t have any desire to add these to my shop. Several reasons, but an important one is finding matching envelopes. I’d rather just insert these in an envelope from my stash and call it good. So anyway, if you have a sewing machine with some decorative stitches, I hope you’ll consider having a few of these options put away for those times you need a card in a hurry.

As you can tell, my handwriting is not professional level. But it’s the thought that counts right? Also imperfections are signs of no Ai involvement. haha I know, that goes without saying. I also want to mention that attaching the strips with another machine stitch or glue is allowed. I just grab what’s handy most of the time. And those spools of thread that aren’t long enough for a sewing project? There’s enough for a strip of stitching. In addition, just save those older sewing machine needles for use on paper. It won’t matter if they’re dull. They pierce paper and cardstock just fine. The strips you see above were once the edges of business card printouts. I am kinda frugal.

I’ll have more of these to share in later posts, but for now I’m letting you finish your much appreciated visit here. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!
