Large-Scale Red Barn

A barn like this oughta have a nickname. Big Red or Big Red One. But those are taken. But you’ll get my drift when you see the photos. Hope this Thursday Doors on a Saturday finds you all doing well. Please take time to stop on over at Dan’s @NoFacilities for more door greatness! And hope you’ll scroll on down to see my newest project from the embroidery machine. I gifted the first one to Dear Hubby 🙂 But of course, right? After all, he is my enabler. But first, the photos. Click each for the full view.

Tried doing an “in-the-hoop” embroidery project for the first time. It was a challenge because I decided to reduce the size by 15%. I had to math. Not my strong suit. But I think it turned out regardless.

I had to dig deep in my stash to find black felt for that stem!! Added to my shopping list! They call that thread color Green Apple, I believe. I think I’d like to try some glow-n-the-dark thread on the next one. Would be kind of cool for those evenings out by the firepit.

  1. That is one artful pumpkin! Please post your glow-in-the-dark creations when they happen! I love that photo of the three barns because there’s such a sense of space. Lovely field.
