It’s a very rainy Tuesday here. Great time to sit and write my latest on the American Heritage Sampler progress. I have 4 blocks to show this week. So, six down, 19 to go!

I shared these in no particular order as the captions tell you. The last photo above is my fave of the ones I finished this week. It would make a nice quilt if made in multiples. That’s the benefit of making sampler quilts; you get to see what blocks you like best.
But that first photo showing Block 4 was definitely the bane of my existence. I normally am very good at block direction. This time, however, was different for yours truly. I got very good use of my seam ripper. It was a block that should have only taken around an hour but I was at it for well over 2. I do like the block appearance regardless. Especially my success at having all my seams pressed open and Neat. I normally press towards one side or the other. You will be impressed to know that I actually followed directions this time. I kept my rebellious side under wraps. I have the proof below.
I want to remind you that Joan Sews is on again tonight at 6 CST on YouTube. They had a fabulous fabric sale last week, and I found some great bargains!!But this week is more quilt-along so hope you’ll drop in and see the latest progress. As always,
