Glad to be back in the land of the living this week. Had the latest, greatest version of the Virus. I’ve been fully vaxed and boosted and it still kicked my rear. For me it was the 5 days of fever that wouldn’t stop.(how is it others had it so easy??) But thanks to an infusion treatment, I’ve recovered more or less to my ol’ ornery self.

With a thankful heart, I’m sharing a church this Thursday Doors. This one is from Lindsborg, Kansas. Thanks to my personal tour guide, I was graced to a lovely walk around parts of Bethany College and this church was its birthplace. I’ll be sharing some bits and pieces of the grounds but I wanted to point out a couple things with the church and another college building:

• The church became Bethany College in 1887.
• Prior to this in 1882 – Lindsborg’s first performance of Handel’s “Messiah” held in Bethany Church.
• Handel’s “Messiah” holds the record here at Bethany for longest running performance in North America, now held at Presser Hall. You can click the link to see the FaceBook page of the event. You won’t likely get tickets. Sold out pretty fast.
• Presser Hall was built in 1929 and listed as one of America’s finest music buildings.
