Some sewing this past week included some creative thinking. According to the internet, this requires both left and right brain to collaborate. For me it meant looking at what I had hanging around in the sewing room. What I had ready to use were some sandwiches used to check quilt tension.
What I created was for my Mother-in-law’s shoulder strap that helps her carry her portable oxygen machine. Some of these straps are a little irritating to the skin when used for a long period of time. So we decided she needed a cushion of sorts. The following photos show the steps and the end product. Captions describe each photo.

This just folds over the strap and the snaps help hold it together. Nothing fancy. Just something to relieve the pressure on her neck and shoulder when in use.
Do you find ways to use up your quilt sandwiches? I’d love to hear the ways you use them up!
As always, it’s my pleasure to have you here. Thanks for dropping by today and hope your week ahead is full of joy!
