I’m working a bit on the quilter the past day or so. I have one lap-size quilt listing in the Etsy shop so I am in a bit of a hurry to get some new stuff finished up. Thankful for being able to catch a few minutes here and there to make some progress. Sorry no pics on that this writing. But I do have the latest block to show you. It’s the #7 Block of the American Heritage Sampler quilt-a-long that I’m participating in. In case you missed it, this pattern is put out by Joan Sews at Quilter’s HQ in Olathe, Kansas. They typically have a live YouTube show on Tuesdays at 6 pm CST if you want to take a look-see. Incentive to tune in——Door prize!
Just to show an actual, good thing that can come from using Ai, I’m sharing my request to see a whole quilt made with only this block. As the photo below reads, I asked for a 5 block wide by 5 block long representation. Each block I’m sewing are about 11.5 inches square — give or take a quarter inch. The result is pretty good. It did add a sashing between rows with an extra blue square. But that wouldn’t have to be the case in recreating this one. Sharing just in case you have an inquiring mind or prefer a repetitive appearance. This example is a great way to use a sampler pattern in multiple ways.
