I’ve got sooooo many irons in the fire these days. And it’s only September 6th! But I have a few minutes to show off these cuties. Gotcha Day cooking just got paws-atively adorable!

Of course you’d expect to see puppies & kittens in the mix. But did you expect to see roosters? Chicken moms are a thing in rural America. So just for fun I’m making the argument for chickens. Here ya go….

They may not be the forever pets that other animals are, but they are well cared for and bring their owners much good mental and emotional health in getting all that fresh air while collecting the eggs. They even warm to affection with being called by name and receiving treats just like other animals. And to bust the myth that you have to have a rooster for eggs, you don’t. So you wouldn’t have the sunrise wake-up call unless you really wanted it.
