Quilters are notorious for having stashes of unfinished objects (UFO’s) lying around. I’m guilty as charged. And between finishing another lap quilt and constructing blocks for the American Heritage Sampler quilt, I grabbed onto a UFO in my stash. This one is from the AtoZ Challenge in 2019. The block name is Farmer’s Daughter. I feel like it will suit my front door ‘swag’ from Memorial Day thru July. Not a flag, but a star.
I tried out a pen made to disappear with heat (ironing) and I believe it worked out well. There are places you can tell that I didn’t bother with marking as well. haha Call it wonky, or perfectly imperfect or just in a hurry to be done with it. It’s for me and I don’t think anyone will walk up from the street to judge my quilt lines. And if they do, they’ll have a memorable experience I suppose. 🙂 I mean yesterday was Memorial Day so there’s that.
Finished 3 more blocks on the American Heritage Sampler quilt. That seems to be my magic number the last 2 weeks. There may be hope for me yet that it’s ready to quilt before July 4th. No promises.

The plan for this week is to work in the yard & garden so I may see a slowdown in progress. But dear hubby has encouraged me to get out the spare sewing machine and place it on our table. Then I won’t be missing my favorite shows — like Joan Sews on YouTube! Be sure to check them out again tonight at 6 pm Central. Or find the uploaded version to watch later if you prefer. She’s the creator of the American Heritage Sampler so get the lowdown on block info there!
