I’ve mentioned a few times how we are in a rather stormy pattern here in Mid-Missouri. Yesterday was no different. By the time I was ready to sit down at the quilter, electricity was lighting up the sky. No plugging in the machine til it passed. I kept waiting and waiting until finally, it was clear that we were in for an all-day-and-into-the-evening event. So I decided to do some work on cutting fabric instead while we watched baseball on tv.
It was sunny in KC. Only 1 hour or so away.
Note: We lost our outdoor HVAC system due a power surge that went through 2 surge protectors. I don’t trust surge protectors with lightning.
I really should have been cutting out the sashings and binding for my American Heritage Sampler. But, oh well. Sometimes, a girl’s gotta have a new garment.
However, I was able to grab a short time-lapse video of the quilting done on Friday. I worked on it until about 9:30 pm. Still have a couple sections left but it will be ready by the end of today!!
Nope, this was not the queen size one. It’s still in progress. Slow progress, but getting there. Hope you’ll be back this week for Tuesday Threads when I’ll have a reveal of the scrappy quilt.
