Weather Effects

According to our local airport in this one-horse town, the month of May has brought us over 15 inches of rain. That’s just what they record. A complaint in this household is that our gauge and theirs are not the same most of the time. In other words, they are missing some numbers. But even if they missed a few readings, 15 inches in 21 days is quite a lot for us here in Mid-Missouri. This brings me to my Doors contribution.

Our appointment was at 11:30 am and we were the only people in the room. Note all the seating available. I’m fairly certain the soggy weather we drove 3+ hours in was the reason for the lack of patients. I feel like they must have very long lines at times to have all the furniture crammed on one side of the room. Good thing it’s not a boat or it would sink. 😉 Should I mention it to them next time??

Thanks to Dan@NoFacilities for another chance to add some Thursday Doors to the challenge! Please take time to join all the reading taking place at the 6th Annual Thursday Doors Writing Challenge here. And as always,

  1. We are two miles from the airport, and our weather station never matches their official reading. During one big snow storm this past winter, I measured 18″ in the yard while they said 12″ had fallen.

The waiting room does look like you could hold a party in there.
