If you know, you know. But if not, the 2025 Thursday Doors Badges are now interchangeable. Each post I will use the one you see here or the one from last week’s post. My belated congratulations to both of the winners who scored a tied result.
Continuing on this week with my door donations from the Soulard District in St. Louis, Missouri. The district was named after a French refugee who came to our country after the French Revolution in 1794. He was an early government official in the area as well as a surveyor. His wife was the daughter of a successful merchant and fur trader. Antione and Marie Julia Cerre Soulard remained in the area all their lives, donating land for a public market, the oldest market still in use west of the Mississippi.
Working on another wedding quilt. This one for the guy who first made me an aunt.
Love him bunches and very happy to see he’s getting his “Happily Ever After” with a truly lovely young lady. I don’t have it fully complete yet. Still need to quilt the borders and add the binding. But I am pleased with how it’s turning out. I’ll give you the full reveal after February 22nd, the Big Day. I might have to add some of my throwback pics of him as a little guy for good measure. 😉 Hope you’ll come back to see my Collage.

Those double doors remind me of the intro to a show, Laverne & Shirley maybe? That’s a tough one if you don’t like being neighborly. Speaking for a friend. 😊

Speaking of neighborly, we have renters next door who like to slam a door each and every time they let their dogs out. I think they may have some anger issues. lol I think they need a friend –but it won’t be me.

Of course the star of this door picks will be the double doors. They look quite unusual and refreshing after all the regular ones. It must be very interesting to carry a couch through those doors 😁

Wonderful doors and quite unique. It is interesting to ponder whether those two doors open in or out. What a beautiful quilt as well!

I guess I’ll never know but glad my girl captured them. Thanks for the compliment. I showed my sister (groom’s mother) yesterday and I have her approval ☺️

I’m another one eager to see the finished quilt. Just thinking about the one who first made you an aunt makes me see a lot of memories in that. You got some great doors for inspiring stories!
