Glad to be back sharing a post on Thursday Doors! However short these posts are, I’m always glad to contribute something. Hope you’ll like the selection for this week. After finally digging out of our rather unusual 2 inches of sleet & 6+ inches of snow, I’m going into the archives for a barn I found back in November. I pass this one frequently and it’s hard to catch it without getting a car passing and blocking the view. So hope you’ll enjoy!

I love the weathered whitewash on the barn bricks. I bet it’s snug as a bug in the cold winter winds we’re getting right now!
Speaking of cold, time to get out the extra quilts. I just finished another one that I’ve been hand quilting for several years now. I am so glad to share it fully finished!! It’s my A to Z quilt from 2017. I’m the type who always has more than one project going simultaneously so unless there’s a deadline, I’m switching from project to project. I don’t quite know whether to label this as procrastination or lack of attention span?? But I do know that I’m getting to that age that I have gained more focus on finishing one at a time. Be prepared to see several projects coming up. My UFO (unfinished Objects) pile is, at long last, depleting.

Thanks for visiting my Thursday Doors for the week. Please take a few to stop over at Dan’s @ No Facilities for more door goodness!

I was hoping you’d drop in this week. I need my dose of banjo humor. I love that barn. It does look like a nice place to escape the storms. I also really like that A-to-Z quilt.

Thanks! I missed a lot of time working on it being in St Louis—& all the dr appointments. I believe it’s a keeper if I do say so myself. lol

Oh what a great looking barn. The green roof is an unusual shade, I like it. Love the idylic photo with the wonderful horse grazing in the field…perfect.
Lovely your A – Z quilt and the work on the back shows your great skill in stitchery.
Have a lovely day!

I never saw a barn I didn’t love, and I applaud your hand skills and being able to use them on such a beautiful quilt.

Glad you are depleting your unfinished objects pile! That’s a great sign. And what a quintessential Midwestern barn.
