I chose the oldest building in Lindsborg, Kansas for this week’s Thursday Doors post. Known as the Stone House, it was built in 1877 by stone masons hired by Nils Magnus Jonasson Elmqvist. He was a watchmaker. I would imagine he was one of the few around this part of Kansas back in those days. The 2-story house has 20-inch thick walls made of Dakota sandstone. As for the insulation value in this home, my bet is that it’s super cozy in the winter and especially cool in the summer! Stenhuset (Stone House) is available as an Airbnb rental.

I may have a couple more posts from Lindsborg to share in the coming weeks. Hope you check back in and also visit Dan @ No Facilities for how to see more Thursday Doors posts from around the globe.
