When Fear Knocks, Let Faith Answer the Door ~~Robin Roberts

I have a little artistry to enter into the Thursday Doors challenge this week. While staying at Hope Lodge in St. Louis, I’d read up online about details there. You know, what is this place like? After all, at one point, we were recognized as having stayed there the longest. So you need to know stuff, right?! Well, I noticed a few photos in their archives on FaceBook. Back in 2020 there was a doors challenge of sorts and I knew I’d definitely have to document what I found to share here. I knew my Door peers would appreciate this at a different level than most folks. So without further ado, I welcome you to read about the collaboration between the city of St. Louis and the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. I’m sure it will warm your heart as much as it did ours.

A door is a symbol of a journey, a transition or metamorphosis. Couldn’t have said it better.

If you have a loved one or friend who is in need for a long-term stay option, please share with them for an option. It saved us thousands of dollars! Literally! Below is a map of locations in the US. (I’m not aware of any outside of our country.)

That’s it for my contribution this week for Thursday Doors. Please take time to see what else has cropped up over at Dan’s No Facilities. There are doors galore from all parts of the world!

They tried. Guess you had to be there. haha

  1. Doors that are individual pieces of art and not only admit a person but also welcome them at a time of need. Applause to all those involved in creating these wonderful home bases for people needing them. Great Robin Roberts quote. Hope you are still enjoying being home and that things are going well.
