Home Away & More

The Badge

Surroundings are different here. So the blog posts will be too. But I have some basic doors that are slipped inbetween photos for my version of Thursday Doors. The current mode of action around here is centered around rest, rest, and more rest. If you’re just reading for the first time, my husband & I are at a home away from home while he is recovering from a bone marrow transplant. This is a long process of many lab tests and IV infusions to keep his numbers good and to watch for infections or marrow rejection. It’s not an easy road and I am so proud of the man I married and his inner strength.

And speaking of married, we have a little family announcement to insert here. My eldest daughter and her new fiance’ had an official photo session to announce their engagement to the world. Love these photos so much! and love them both even more 🙂

Calling this a love for the great out-Doors. A photo shoot with fun & games all wrapped up in one!

One day at a time. This is what a lengthy recovery can look like– catching glimmers whenever you can.

Doors of the utility kind

Always happy faces when company comes around. Whether in person, over the phone or in a card, opening this kind of door is what heals. Thanks for dropping by for a peek into our past few days. Please stop over at Dan’s @ No Facilities for more wonderful doors from all over the world.

Note: This is not a banjo but a Ganjo, Guitjo or Banjitar. A controversial bluegrass topic in some circles. Saving that for another day 😉

  1. Congratulations to the happy couple, and continued good thoughts and our prayers for your hubs and for you as you go through this difficult time. Thanks for thinking about the rest of us, and sharing the photos.
