Union Church, Hwy. N/Thursday Doors

The Badge

Looking at a Google map of churches with ‘Union’ in the title in central Missouri brings up quite a few hits. But this one for today’s Thursday Doors lies in rural Pettis County, Missouri. It’s address is Clifton City, but it and the cemetary sit alone on on Highway N.

The history of this church is pretty interesting. Back in 1898 when the church was formed, there were 4 denominations that made use of the church. Thus giving it the name Union Church must have seemed appropriate. That one fact is something I found heartwarming. To read more on the history of this church, there is a FaceBook page with interesting posts and photos dictating its background. Sharing a few photos of the church taken by my collaberator and daughter.

Don’t take off too soon! Dan at No Facilities has plenty more doors from his post Plus from other participants. Hope you can check it out.
