Another week of Thursday Doors and like a bad penny, I keep turning up. But sharing my part of the world on this platform has been a nice reward. Thanks to Dan at No Facilities for hosting.
I have a little bit of Rural America to share with you for my contribution and I hope you enjoy this find from the outskirts of Houstonia, Missouri. Homes come in all shapes and sizes in small towns around the area, but my personal favorites are the ones that sit alone like this one.

The porch view faces west, but the road goes north. Logistics questions–but I imagine the sunsets must be spectacular at times. Just hand me a glass of sweet tea, please.
And finally one last look at this gem.
That is a sweet ride! Stepping out of the car, up onto that lovely porch. I might not want to go inside. The house is beautiful. I’m picturing everything I love about old farm houses.

Thank you! There’s a similar house in that area that belonged to my uncle that I’m dying to show the Thursday Doors crowd. It has a hand carved rosewood doorway that I hope the new owners value. Maybe someday?

That car my friends is a 1941 Cadillac Series 62. Nothing like riding in style.
