It has been an extremely hot weekend and that lasted through yesterday here in Mid-Missouri. So other than watering the garden early in the am and making sure the hummingbirds had unspoiled syrup, I spent lots of time indoors. Heat indexes of 117 haven’t hit here in quite some time! So I had plenty of time to get some sewing done.
I dove in and found a 9-patch that I acquired some time ago. It was probably a good 96 inches in length, needed to be split into two parts, and also needed sashing on a couple sides. Lucky for me and that endless stash I have spoken of before, I found a perfect match. That needs to be put in the Guiness book because that Never happens in the world of sewing.

As you can see above, it was a simple solid navy that I needed to match.

The photos above show the 12 patch runners. Both are ready for quilting and with no drives out of town this week, I am eager to get them finished. The best part is that I’ve been able to keep these out of a landfill.
