Sunday Sampler

It’s time to add a new badge for this page. I chose this string quilt photo to do the job. Shot on the Katy Trail behind my home. I especially loved the lighting and the scattered buttons in this project. This quilt sold in late summer of 2015 and still holds a place of endearment to me. Another one may be coming soon. Although the quilt is not a sampler quilt, it does have samplings of various fabric scraps I’d had in my stash at the time.

Since today is Sunday, I have a mini quilt to show off here. It was originally sewn together in 2019 for Letter R in the AtoZ Challenge. I had a quilt top planned, but I wasn’t happy with the arrangement. Some of the blocks were different sizes. This was a bit complex for me at the time to figure out. So, quilter-me of 2019 put these all aside. Fast-forward to quilter-me of 2025, you’ll find me taking advantage of them to practice my quilting skills on the Bernina Q-20. The result is below.

Rambler Mini Quilt

Hope you enjoyed my return to Sunday Sampler posts and return next time to see what I’ve been up to in the sewing room! Thanks for reading!
