Wedding Day!

Thursday Doors on a Saturday because I have much to share this week. We have added one more to our family by way of a beautiful wedding on Saturday. We’re very blessed to welcome our new son-in-law, Wes, to the family and cannot wait to see what their future holds!! We have several photos to share. Happy to add that this time, they’re from my phone.😊 Kirsten was busy being the maid of honor. She’d be first to remind me that it is always nice to get back behind the lens. Especially for such a wonderful life moment. My heart is full!!

So without too much more chit chat, I’ll get on with the stars of the show, the new Mr. and Mrs. I expect to have several posts related to this long weekend in Kansas but the wedding photos have had many inquiries. Hope you enjoy these!

And I have long awaited sharing the following photos as well. Since coming home in late April, I’ve finished 2 quilt commissions and 1 wedding quilt. Both commissions are gifts that I have promised to not share until they’ve been gifted. But finally, I get to at least share one of them!! So below, I present to my readers, the National Parks quilt I made for the newlyweds. Ron & I hope they get the opportunity to mark off each park visited in their life together! Made with all my love in every stitch!

It’s been such a joy to share these moments with you and I want to thank you for reading! Please take a few to stop over at Dan’s @ No Facilities for more Doors from around the world!

  1. Wonderful! Beautiful bride! Blessings on the happy couple.

And what a good mom to have the quilt ready in time for the wedding day. (I still owe my brother and sister-in-law a quilt for their March 2024 wedding. (Had to finish two other long-awaited quilts first.)

    • Thank you! It was my 2nd choice of quilts to make but really glad it turned out ok. Fits their bed too! Wes is such a great young man and has been so supportive with Ron. Rachel and Wes will do great things together I am sure! Thanks again for visiting ☺️

  4. Thank you for inviting us to the wedding! It’s so uplifting — the young people, the colors (I love the red!) and the miles of smiles! The quilt is a wonder to me. A work of love for sure. What a beautiful day!
