Lane’s Prarie Lodge #531

The Badge

Another Sunday Drive with Kirsten resulted in these captures on her camera. Yes! I’m proud to say she actually uses a camera. Nothing wrong with a phone camera but I do understand that there’s something different about the process in an actual camera. So, without further delay, I have this to share with you, an old Masonic Lodge rural Missouri.

From masonpost.com: Grand Lodge Recognized Masonic Lodge

Lanes Prairie Lodge #531 is chartered through the Grand Lodge of Missouri, AF&AM, which in turn, is recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England.  Before visiting, be sure to check with your grand lodge for recognition and visitation rights.

Somehow I don’t think it’s currently in use, tongue in cheek here. But Lanes Prairie is an unincorporated community in eastern Maries County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is just east of Missouri Route 28 on county road 419. Kirsten definitely took the scenic route that day. There will be some more photos to come so hope you’ll visit again.

I wanted to take a moment to thank Dan @ No Facilities for hosting the Thursday Doors Writing Challenge this year and offering me some carte blanche on a post. Unfortunately that was just not meant to be this year. Mother broke her hip recently and added new dynamics to this year. But I do intend to keep my plan in my pocket for next year. It has to get better, right?? Until then, I hope you will visit Dan and the other Thursday Door entries each week. Best blog challenge on the block!

  1. That poor old building! I can imagine that caring for a mother with a broken hip does somewhat change the dynamics — maybe for a while you felt like this building. I hope things are better now.
