I’m doing it again. I’ve joined up with the April A to Z Blog Challenge for my 6th consecutive year. And for the 3rd year in a row, you’ll get to watch a quilt unfold.

I’ve been inspired this time by a drive-by of the Kansas City Star building in Kansas City, Missouri. Many of you may not know that this newspaper was world reknowned for it’s weekly quilt block publication beginning in the late 1920’s. I’m not giving up too much more about that until Challenge time, but just know, I’ll strictly be using blocks previously published in the KC Star.
If you’re a fellow blogger, welcome to this madness we call a Challenge. If you’re just dropping in, maybe you’ll check back on April 1 (no foolin’) and see what all the fuss is all about. You can click here for other theme reveals, a list of the participants, or to join up. You have until March 28 for the theme reveal posts, and sign up closes April 6. But you can read all the instructions by clicking here.
Thanks to our hosts again this year and know you are greatly appreciated. Thanks to my readers. And especially thank you to my family who endure and support my fabric creations.
Let the fun begin!!

Let’s go for the fun and the Great Adventure! So happy to meet you in this Challenge, and the beautiful quilting world 😉 6th consecutive year?? wow, that’s a challenge! See you soon!!

Katy,
Congrats on beginning your 6th year of A2Zing. This is my 6th year, too. 🙂 I noticed your comment on another blogger’s site who’s also quilting through the alphabet next month. Quilting is something I never learned but wanted to and now those who used to do in the family are no longer with us. I hope someday to give it a try. Perhaps your April shares will be a source of inspiration and education for when I do get motivated to tackle this lost artwork. You’re welcome to visit my Theme Reveal to see which direction art will take me this year. Happy stitching!!

Thank you for stopping in 🙂 I will definitely stop and visit your site. It sure doesn’t feel like it has been 6 years already! And you’re never too old to try a new hobby they say. So hope I inspire you to take it to the next step. Thanks again for visiting!!

Good luck… have fun!
I did the challenge for two year’s running… thoroughly enjoyed the first go at it but found the second attempt frustrating and uninspiring!
Maybe I’ll give it another go??

I remember your last year’s theme about Quilts and Ozark Slang. It was so informative and interesting. Looking forward to your posts this April. Cheers 🙂
