Maybe

Maybe

The Missouri State Fair begins tomorrow and it’s only a hop and skip for me down the Katy Trail from home. There’s a chance I’ll go. Maybe.

My Photo

Weather and sunsets can be pretty inviting, along with cotton candy and corn dogs.

Then there’s those quilts.

It’s still up in the air…….

Paper Bag

Joke

IMG_4636 (2)

After a grocery trip to the local Walmart, we watched this family leave the store and I saw them jokingly put the bag on the young girl’s head. Before this somehow goes viral, she was not being kidnapped.

The following conversation ensued in a group text. I was driving 😉

Bad Bag Day

I love when I don’t have to write this stuff. And that eye roll ……..

Practice/ Weekly Photo Challenge

Morning

#acolorstory (1)

There’s a morning sun shining outside these shutters. But my eyes needed to adjust this morning. Coffee was the priority first.

To say I needed to think about this week’s challenge is an understatement. Silly that something so obvious should be so toilsome. But that is why it’s called a Challenge. So I am just going to show you a song that’s been in my head since the announcement of this week’s word.

Here Comes The Sun

For copyright reasons, it’s a minimal photo and it’s taken with my camera of my copy of music I paid for.

there. now that I’ve taken care of business……

would you like to take time to listen in on my practicing?

Gonna be practicing awhile.

A Door First

Thursday Doors

I have been admiring from afar the Thursday Door posts for quite some time. There are so many great ones out there. I’m about to hop aboard with one of my own. I’ll hope to make it a regular feature and try to be half as good as the challenge host. Thanks by the way for such great inspiration!

Entrance to Rachel’s house.

Last Monday and Tuesday were spent moving furniture and belongings to my daughter’s first apartment. She’s off to grad school and we are so-o-o-o proud around here.

Momma Brag moment #1 million.

Rachel's House 2016

The home is divided into apartments and was built around 1902. Lots of character inside! Lawrence Kansas, you’d better be good to my little girl.

Or else!

Inez

Muse

As a noun, it means a person — especially a woman — who is a source of artistic inspiration

Naming a few I would consider inspirational is fairly easy in this computer age. So many people contribute ingenious ideas on all those sharing sites that you get wrapped up in; almost addicted to at times. But there is always at least one who was the most influential in the beginning.

Inez Davis Reed Hunter

Grandmother, mother, wife, one-room-schoolhouse teacher, Depression Era Survivor, Veteran wife and mother, Farmer’s wife, Cook and host of many large, Sunday family dinners, Musician, church member, organizer, teacher and volunteer, 4-H club leader/charter founder for local club still in existence, Seamstress/crafter, Caretaker, Taxi for the grands, Cheerleader for all, Woman of Faith.

Miss her and all her wisdom.
