Some Quilty Plans/Tuesday Threads

This year is our nation’s Semiquincentennial, or The Big Two-Five-Oh. And lo and behold, I’ve found a Quilt-a-long that goes with this event. Thanks to a little YouTube show I watch each Tuesday evening, Joan Sews. Here is a photo taken of the pattern cover…

SamplerQuiltTime!

Since sampler quilts are one of my favorite quilts to assemble, this is going to be something I’m eager to complete. I am simultaneously still piecing that DWR to be transparent with my readers. But a change of pace is a good thing. I will be able to complete a block a week, or work ahead. Getting behind sometimes happens too, but hopefully not.

Five colors is all that’s needed. There was a choice of purchasing a kit (still available) or just buying the pattern and making it your own. I chose the later. I am trying to use more of my stash up and am happy to say I didn’t need to purchase any for this project. The following photos give you a fabric summary. Note: It is not necessary to use only one brand of fabric. I am probably the poster child for this thought process. Again, more transparency.

To see them in a sort of file system or side by side helps with the color selecting.

July isn’t too far off! Hope to be ready to quilt it by then. Hope you will stop over again to see the progress as I post it.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!!
