It’s Sunday Sampler time and I have a little something to share that I found on sale. I haven’t ventured into the realm of quilt panels and this one was too good to resist. And despite all my best intentions, it took until today to get it done. But at least it’s before Christmas. It’s so pretty!
Something I’ve learned by scouring the Internet is that there is a void when it comes to “how to quilt an elaborate panel”. I found a good video by Rob Appell so want to shout out here to him on his ‘Trapunto Quilting on a Fabric Panel” that got me jumpstarted with just quilting on the details of the design. More recognized as landscape quilting, this method was what I went with. It is a 7-yr old video! So that pretty much tells you how scarce the info is on what to do with preprinted fabric panels. I apologize that I only have photos here. But I hope it helps someone.

If you click each photo above, you’ll be taken to the full size photo for any details. You’ll notice I need a larger quilt hanger for my front door. So it isn’t staying there. I also need to rearrange some stuff on the wall. But since Christmas isn’t a very long time off, I think it’ll be fine as is. Other spaces to hang this would be over a couch, recliner, above the fireplace (wish I had one), or basically anyplace you can hang a picture. But this one’s not for sale. So no Etsy promo today.
Reposting from 2023 the Inez Clipping above. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season however you celebrate!
