Light Contest 2025

Happy Saturday before Christmas 2025! Final Thursday Doors for the year and hope you enjoy the glow. Keeping it fairly simple due to my late arrival. So without more chitchat, here ya go……

I think you all got the gist of the lights in the park so I decided to switch gears. Sedalia’s yearly Christmas Light Contest was concluded just days before my last post and I’d like to share my drive-bys of the winners reverse order. I’m starting with the Honorable Mention.

So as you can decipher, the bottom photo was the first place winner. I do love the look with the cohesive colors. Simple but nicely laid out. But I have to be honest that I truly love the home backdrop in the honorable mention. Nonetheless, they are all worthy of placing this year in my humble opinion. And I might mention, they all had folks stopping to admire last night when we were doing our photos. My congrats to all!

So this is a preview of the Sunday Sampler post coming up. I have a bit of me time and I need some rest on the ol’ back. Quilting is my go-to therapy. I’ve developed issues. Thirty years of lifting babies & toddlers takes a toll. When they use the hashtag #quiltingismytherapy, they’re not kidding. 😉

Gold aurofil thread from a thread club purchase. And the victim is Santa on a fabric panel from Missouri Star Quilt Company. They had a sale. ‘Nuf said.

Thanks for your visit today and hope you’ll peruse the other Christmas Door contributions over at Dan’s@NoFacilities. And however you celebrate this time of year, wishing you all the very best in Joy, Happiness & Good Health!
