Hello Dear Readers,
I feel like an update is in order. I want to start by thanking those who have reached out to check in on my person, my household, my family. Prayers, messages, phone calls, visits in person and via FaceTime have meant the world to us! An arduous journey has been occurring and there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. What was occurring? Well, bone marrow transplant (hubs), transfusions too many to tally, a Covid infection (both of us), Covid pneumonia and then bacterial pneumonia. When your immunity is low, these are deadly and he had a very close call. Thanking Jesus for the expertise of the medical professionals and for the countless prayers sent our way. Also want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart for the Open Door lent to me for a place to stay close by while I was unable to be with Ron due to testing positive myself. We also were blessed by donations– one of which was a generous gift of a place to stay after hub’s discharge. We cannot thank them enough! I keep having a saying/song title run through my head: “Tis No Secret What God Can Do”. Let me tell you what, He works overtime! Say what you want, but I know for a fact that angels walk this earth. And so folks, that is a very condensed version of what’s been happening.

For my re-entry into Thursday Doors for 2024, I want to congratulate the Badge Winner! Love the photo and wish I could visit such a place in person. It’s a great choice and I wish I had been able to put in my own vote. But the computer was not being used much.
I chose the following as my first Doors of the year. We drove by this place quite a few times while headed to appointments and I was always just trying to improve the shot. So I’ve ended up with several views of the same street corner. I hope you enjoy them.
But a little about Wild Flower Restaurant, Bar & Catering. It shut its doors permanently in April of 2021. It had been in business for 26 years. I took a peek at reviews and images shared online and they were very well regarded. Apparently it’s another victim of the Pandemic. Hard to believe nothing has taken the place of this business with such a lovely exterior! Note: to enlarge photos, just click.

Thank you for stopping by to read this lengthier than usual post and I encourage you to take a few to visit Dan @ No Facilities where you can see more wonderful door posts from around the world. A great way to spend an evening at home. You won’t be disappointed.

The photo with the coach in front of the Wild Flower is so pretty!
I’m so glad everything is better with you and your family. And thank you for the badge congratulations!!!!

I am so glad you made it through a litany of challenges. Your photos are beautiful and your participation after all you’ve been through is a remarkable gift. I hope things continue to improve for Ron. You (both) are in our prayers.
