Late Day Post/Tuesday Threads

Playing catch-up today with all sorts of things. One is putting the American Heritage Quilt together. I sewed 156 Flying Geese blocks together over the weekend,

and today began the process of fitting and fine-tuning the sewing of rows together. Matching seams and keeping everything aligned was the name of the game and I think the first 2 rows are going to be ok.

For fun, I did an AI background for this doorway photo. I didn’t want ya’ll to see my shirts drying on the hangers in my real doorway. 😉 Fabric shrinks sometimes so that’s how we roll around here. Here’s a cool doorway in my humble opinion.

That row down the center with all the red and white nine patch blocks between the sashings caused me to slowwwwwly proceed. I am terrible at getting all my blocks squared up exactly the same and next time I will have a very good example of that to share. Until then, my special thanks to dear hubby for holding up this partial quilt.

The following sight caused us to stop the vehicle and get out the camera this morning. I loved the way these wild chicory ‘weeds’ were blowing in the wind. And they just happen to be my favorite shade of blue. God kinda has that perfection thing under control with nature.
