Hello & welcome to another Sunday Sampler post! I shifted gears this week from quilting, at least for today’s post. I finished my first garment in so many years. I wasn’t even sure where to start when I began, but I think this time it went fairly well. I had a good amount of some mini plaid fabric that was calling to be used for something other than binding. And I have collected sewing patterns for as long as I’ve been sewing. And that’s a Longggg time! So it all came together in the form of this blouse you see below.

I just wanted something for everyday that wasn’t a t-shirt. I have a couple drawers full of (hand-me-down, gifted & chosen-by-me) t-shirts. And this new garment fits the bill. I like the center front pleat and the length of the sleeves as well as the shirt length. I will make another one but with a fabric that has more drape. Once this cotton is washed, it will have more of that. But for the sake of being done and for your viewing pleasure, here ya go.
A couple of highlights to contribute this week. First my dear daughter brought me home a little something from her day trip with a bestie. I have the most thoughtful daughters in the world! No one can argue this point with me. I will win. I need to fix myself a spot at my table for it very soon. Isn’t is just adorable?!
And finally, letting you see a lovely review complete with a photo from one of my most recent customers on Etsy. This is such a pretty display using my Patriotic Heart Potholder set! And so thoughtful of her to share! Creativity isn’t just for the makers. It also includes those who know how to do an arrangement like this one. Are you one who needs an example like this or do you instinctively know how to make arrangements? I’m definitely the former.
As always, it’s my pleasure to have you here. Thanks for dropping by today and hope your week ahead is full of joy!
