Scrappy Ode To Spring

Hello & welcome to another Sunday Sampler! I have lots of scrap fabric from my many years of sewing and quilting. That is not a secret. When our heat pump bit the dust last week, I am sure the repairmen were in awe of my collection. Awe is probably not the best word. But a creative life is a little messy. In my defense of saving leftovers, finding uses is my Modus Operandi. Hope you enjoy the latest sampling.

I’ve added photos with captions for quick & easy viewing. Everyone is busy these days, right?

Update on the Double Wedding Ring quilt & the latest Hexi project before I reveal the framed mini quilt……

Increasing daily

Thanks to my dear hubs for his assistance in holding the quilt-in-progress.

There’s one more row that you cannot see as it’s 8 rings long. I will be resume sewing when I’ve cut some more ‘gray’ sections. Mistake in my tally. Thankful to have enough extra fabric for this!

Credit for this pattern goes out to Riley Blake Designs 2021.

You can make your bird mini in whatever colorway pleases you. The pattern I saw originally used black to give it a Halloween feel. Something in red, white & blue for July??? Or a red & green fabric for Christmas? I think I’ll be making a few more of these and have a head start on my gift-giving for the year.

Thanks for dropping in today! If you like what you see, check out our Etsy shop. This week I’ve been replacing previously purchased items so hope you’ll visit!
