Fort Sill, Oklahoma/ThursdayDoors

Fort Sill, Oklahoma is an army base where my youngest daughter and her good friend drove to attend the graduation of another good friend. This base covers 94,000 acres so my share is just a tidbit of what you could potentially see there. Because I happen to have an old photo of my husband taken when he visited Fort Sill, I thought it share-worthy in the context of this post. He has the Geronimo family name in his lineage and so was a proud moment for him.

Fort Sill was staked out on January 8, 1869. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1960. But the doors I’ll share today are from much more recent times. Cache Creek Chapel Complex is where graduation took place. Roughly 140 graduated from her friend’s Battery on February 24, 2023. Congratulations to all the grads! Your service to this nation is most appreciated!

Thanks for visiting and hope you’ll stop over at Dan’s No Facilities for a little more door sight-seeing. Lots of doors from around the world to view.

  1. Hi. I had no idea Fort Sill was from 1869! Love the banjo humor, too. Hope your husband is doing ok. I haven’t bought anything from your Etsy shop yet… have my eye on cloth napkins. Hope you have a great day.
