Purchase Road/ThursdayDoors

The Badge

Time for a return to sharing doors after a couple weeks out of the loop. Week 1, moved daughter/Dr.Finnell, and learned a lot about a sciatic nerve. First chiropractor visit down and a couple more to go, but definitely on the mend. Does it help when your doc is a professional steer wrestler in the rodeo circuit? Apparently it does because I’m feeling a big difference. But moving on, Week 2 was a week away for our Thursday Doors host, so I took advantage and worked on harvesting a few cucumbers. Eleven pints of sweet relish later, I’m ready to move on to pickles in other forms. Here’s a few photos of the garden goodness…..

After all that work, it was time for a little country drive. We didn’t have to go too far to find the lovely gem I have for you this week. Just west of town, I spied a new contributor to barn quilts. This one is a star variety and you’ll have to pardon me because I don’t know the name of this one. But it’s a beaut! Hope you enjoy the ride.

Hope you enjoyed the Saturday evening drive. Please take time to head on down the road to Dan at No Facilities for more lovely doors from around the world.

  1. Thanks for stopping by, Cathy!
Ten years ago I had scatica to the degree that I was happy when I could sleep for two hours at night. Because my brother is an MD, I didn’t want meds (they prescribe steroids for that), so I went on the net and discovered losethebackpain.com –
that really helped, and of course also daily prayer of hubby, and one morning I woke up with the word “pumpkinseeds”. In that time you could only get them at pricey health stores.I knew that information was God-given. I tried it also for my carpel tunnel (both inflammation issues) and after a month I felt a lot better with that combination.
It took two years before I was completely healed and back to carrying boxes, grocery bags, and grand children, and I still am at my best – thanks be to God:):) Emille (former Jesh)

    • That’s very interesting and good to know about pumpkin seeds. Never know what can work naturally. I’ll check that site out too. I am doing better as no pain meds needed so hopefully the chiropractor can get me on track. He seems to think I pinched the nerve so thinks the back adjustments are a good non invasive treatment. Fingers crossed and definitely praying. Too much to do to be down. Lol

  2. I love barns and barn doors. The quilt blocks are very interesting. Regarding having a professional steer wrestler adjust my body…hmmm. I guess if you’re on the mend, it’s working well for you. I hope that continues.

  3. I love the barn quilt. I’m pretty sure I need one on my Bardominium once it’s complete. Thanks for sharing what you’re up to. You’re canning looks wonderful and I’m glad you’re on the mend.
