This block is apparently supposed to resemble brick pavement. With the quote above, I attempted some views around town. They went something like this….
It’s lovely the way they enhanced this intersection in our downtown historic district.
I find a bigger beauty in where there’s no pavement. Where land meets sky and colors are not man-made.
Quilts, though they are made by hand, give us a chance to mimic shapes, colors and scenes around us. I’m sure the name Pavement could also be substituted with Tiles, Square in a Square or Four Windows. And the color is all in the hands of the maker. I’m just thankful for photographs to get me through this post.

Great photos. Very timely as we are choosing tiles (“pavement”) for our bathroom renovation and trying to find a tile setter 🙂

I like the pictures. I like your quilts too. I knew a lot of quilters from work never had the patience for it myself.

It’s nice of you to stop by. I just happened to grow up in a home where it was a necessity to sew. Quilting was a way to use up the scraps. Now I can enjoy it more by splurging on fabrics 🙂 Hopefully I’m keeping someone employed at some fabric store lol

People would come In with the most beautiful quilts to show us what they did with all that stuff we cut for them. That was actually my favorite part of the job, seeing the results.

When/if I retire I’m moving into a fabric store lol just so everyone will know where to find me 🙂

I bet they’d hire ya, spend your check in the building. I hired quite a few retired customers a few hours a week pocket money for them and expertise for our customers. Lord knows I couldn’t help with quilting. 🙂
